| Hi french friends! We have the pleasure to announce that, here and now, in this cold Winter night, the Battle for the Wall 2013 starts! Website of the event in Spanish and English:www.juegodetronos.com/batallaporelmuroAfter the immense and surprising (because even we were surprised!) success of the first edition of the Battle for the Wall, last month of September, we come back with the swords sharp as ever… The organization team, that in this occasion will be integrated by a deluxe triumvirate (Ingrid a.k.a. “Allyria”, Ione a.k.a. “Raxar” and Álvaro a.k.a. “Aioria”) will personally ensure that this second edition of Battle for the Wall will be a really unforgettable event. The keyword that inspires this new project is “more”. “More” and “better”. And that is our philosophy, to surpass the great results of the last year both in participation as well as in prizes, level of game, surprises… and much more. Because you guys deserve it. And the first question is, inevitably… When? Battle for the Wall 2012 will take place the days 16 and 17 of March 2013. And why in March…? We have decided ourselves for this dates for several reasons. The first one is because the first quarter of the year is somehow a bit empty of big events. The tourney season that ends in Stahleck each year in November and the World Championship in the US. And until the month of May the regionals calendar doesn’t really start to move. That is why we considered that March is an excellent date. Our idea is to establish the tourney of Battle for the Wall, year after year, as one of the big European A Game of Thrones LCG tournaments: that is why March is also a very good month for this taking in consideration Stahleck. This month also a quite comfortable date for our European friends (France, Italy, Germany, Portugal, UK... etc.) with whom we have consulted this days. And now we can give you some new info about the prizes. All those who participated in 2012 Battle for the Wall edition will remember the incredible and exclusive house cards designed by Nacho Molina. With their screaming quality, it is safe to say that they were the star gift of the event. Well, it is our pleasure to announce that we have renovated our last year’s best feature and in this 2013 edition we will count again with the work of the great illustrator Nacho Molina. All the players will receive 6 very very special House Cards. We can’t give any more info yet, but we hope to show you a brief preview of the great work done by Nacho. We’ll only say that Nacho has managed to make last year’s look like a joke…! As a tradition, the Joust Champion will receive, along with the fame and the renown that a tourney like this give, a trophy acknowledging his victory (the second and third Joust classified as well as the Melee Champion will also receive it) will be blessed by the gods (the old and the new) with and exclusive playmat and the quantity of 100 euros in concept of accommodation + registration fees for Tourney of Stahleck 2013, as well as a “bye” round with good resistance for the first match. Second and third classified of the Joust tourney, as well as the Melee champion will also receive, along with their trophies, great prizes that will obviously be related to the world of A Song of Ice and Fire. And of course, we’ll do our best to flood you again with prizes, gifts, giveaways and more surprises. Battle for the Wall is a tourney, an event, made for fans by fans with the only aim of promoting this great game that reunites us all, over personal differences, surpassing the frontiers of several countries and creating a community of really fantastic people. And this is the spirit that we want to keep at any cost! You can be sure that there will be tons of prizes and gifts that will be given among all players. And this is all… for the moment. Keep your place in your watch, always forward to the call of the watch’s horn, because the night is dark and full of terrors! We’ll soon have more news! The Staff of Battle for the Wall 2013. | |

| Here is a link to all discounts available for train tickets (Spanish Railways Website):
http://www.renfe.com/FR/viajeros/tarifas/index.html
I don't think the discount you're mentioning is available.
Anyhow, have you looked up for flights, instead of train? At least here in Spain, if you buy them with enough time, they can be cheaper than train tickets. If you have an airport in the nearby, maybe it's worth taking a look.
Arthur, thank you for the feedback! We'd be so delighted to have you in the tournament! Such a pity you live so far away, we'll miss you guys. BTW, when you came to Guardia de la Noche tournament, what trasport did you use?

| We have some fresh news in the event's website
www.juegodetronos.com/batallaporelmuro/index.php?lang=en
First of all, the first sponsor has been announced and it is the awesome AGOTcards! Andrea, AGOTcards's boss has given us one of the best advertising methods that the"thronesphere" can have, and that is a permanent ad in AGOTcards's main site that probably many of you have already seen. Thanks for the support Andrea! Here is a link in case somebody isn’t familiar with it yet, it’s 200% recommendable: www.agotcards.org
We also start with the section regarding the European Circuit, where we explain a little more in depth what this European pilot project is. It’s a collaboration and link between four big tournaments in Europe during 2013 in four different countries that rotate along the axis that is Stahleck. It’s organized together with the tournament of Milano (Italy), Lille (France) and Warsaw (Poland). We’ll keep uploading more info in this matter, but you can already check it out in the web.
See you in the battlefield!

| Today we have a meeting with the venue management (they have been closed for holidays) to establish final details about the tournament developement, as well as manage special prizes for the hotels in the nearby for our participants. But one thing we can give you straight is that there will be prizes for all pockets, starting with really cheap accomodation (in a great student hostel with direct communication vía subway -about 20 minutes, no change of trains-) to 4 stars hotels for those who want to give a blast!
The definitive info will be up in a couple of days, we'll keep you posted.
Have a great weekend! | |

| Greetings from the cold North, where we are preparing Battle for the Wall 2013!
We have some fresh news and some important changes in the event, especially related with its definitive location.
The place we had reserved, in the center of Madrid with all the benefits we already told in the website, will be not available for the tournament. Due to reasons strictly unrelated to the organization of Battle for the Wall 2013, we won’t be able to celebrate there the event. The owner of the establishment, without previous notice to his employees nor the clients that already had a reservation, has decided to close and dispose of his commerce, with our reservation being then cancelled.
Of course, we had an alternative prepared just in case. Battle for the Wall 2013 will take place in the same venue where the first edition was celebrated last September. It will take place in the Civic Center Sector 3 of Getafe (more info in the Section “Location”). We strongly ask for your comprehension and we apologize for any inconveniences this setback could cause. Along with this new info we are offering different options of accommodation, as close and cheap as possible, to make easier the trip of those adventurous participants from outside Madrid.
On other hand, and as the definitive location is no longer a private one, but it will be freely given by the generous Getafe Council, we will go back to the initial application fee of 20 euros instead of 25 as we where currently asking. (See changes in the Section “Registration”).
We insist on apologizing for this uncomfortable setback that, on other hand, is completely unrelated to the organization. This mishap has caused us many problems, as you all can imagine, and that’s why we are asking for your comprehension. And of course, we are not going to let this change darken this second edition of Battle for the Wall. And to achieve this success we are working as much as we can!
We also start with the Prizes section, with lots of exciting news!:
-More info about the new House Cards designed by Nacho Molina -Prizes and tournaments for thematically based decks, do not miss the new Battle for the Wall 2013 Challenges! -We reveal a little more about the rewards given to the participants of the European Circuit that register at Battle for the Wall 2013 -Rewards for last year’s winners! The glorious champions of Battle for the Wall 0213 and Stahleck 2013 will obtain a “bye” and some other more than interesting advantages.
Don’t forget to see as well the European Circuit section, where we explain what this exciting pilot project is about.
And this is only the beginning. January is going to be a month full of news!
The Staff.

Well I think most of the people here know how hard it is to make a great event for a great number of great people, so, no problem, we can only imagine the problems that your host have been puting you in, well done for 1) having a backup plan 2) managing to propose it quickly, to a not so bad location !
Thanks for all of what you're doing !

| Well, we’re getting really serious about the tournament now… These days we’ve been announcing lots of news about prizes, gifts, giveaways…etc. Everything really cool, but that’s only words. Up to now! Here you have the first sweet of many others to come, the first preview of the pin-ups by Nacho Molina, that are still work in progress. Sansa Stark, a little grown up, full of innocence and sweetness, looking for her blue prince to “roleplay” Ser Florian and Jonqil. And you’d say… I can’t see a thing! That’s a little bit the idea, each preview (and we’ll have one per day) we’ll keep going down the image a little bit to get to the definitive full format that the AGoT card will finally have. So there’s only left to have a little patience and keep the days going for your look to get a little bit further down beyond that angelical face of northerner wolf. Enjoy! http://www.juegodetronos.com/batallaporelmuro/index.php?lang=en# | |

| Two days have passed since the sweet and innocent Sansa showed her head in Battle for the Wall 2013. And as we promised, the "camera" will be going down. We believe than more than one will be surprised with what this young lady wolf hides under those northerners warg skins. For you to act as the warmest brazier in the coldest winter nights, we present you Sansa. Special Stark House: able to melt the hardest ice of Winterfell and thrill the bravest of the knights with one single look. The bards will sing songs of her beauty, that will be heard in all the corners of the Seven Kingdoms! Are you her shiny and brave knight...? | |

| We have long known that Winter is Coming. Noble Eddard Stark takes good care to remind us again, and again, and again… and once again. What good Ned wasn’t maybe really aware of was how was going to receive those cold winter winds his eldest daughter, the always sweet Sansa Stark. Immense in a world of conspiracy and treachery that she would have never expected, the eldest of the direwolves is still waiting for the arrival of her brave Florian, knight of the shining armor and even more noble purposes, to save her from the claws of this cruel world that keeps waking her up from her sweet dreams with death and despair. And one more time, Nacho Molina captivates us again with his extraordinary talent, showing us the sweetest and most naïve Sansa… but with a hussy look full of curiosity. It is possible that she’s thinking that perhaps, and only perhaps, there could be something worth discovering in this world that she tries to flee so desperately. Maybe she won’t even need her noble Florian for that. What do you think? What pin-up should be uploaded next? Go ahead and vote in the poll! http://juegodetronos.com/masalladelmuro ... f=10&t=713 | |

| A new Westeros pinup in the website of Battle for the Wall! Enjoy! Tenacious, sly, vengeful. Those are the adjectives that come into mind when we think of the character of the people of Dorne. The dryness of their deserts, their hot food, their sweet wines and the historical development of their kingdom make of them people of peculiar idiosyncrasy, with a character surly and patient at one time, with spirit of revenge: nor Dorne, nor it’s governing family, seated in Sunspear, has forgotten their past, the blood spilled of their family, nor their alliance with the Targaryens.
To speak about the history of this people means inevitably to speak of a development sustained by their fierce women. When the warrior queen of the Rhoynar of the eastern continent, Nymeria, came with her people to Westeros, she took one of the strongest of the Dornishmen as her husband: King Mors Martell. Combining their strength, the two managed to unite all of Dorne under their rule; House Nymeros Martell has reigned since.
They say that Dorne was the only of the Sever Kingdoms that was not taken during the invasión of Aegon the Conqueror; nor the dragons nor the fire and blood they brought with them could defeat the strength of their deserts and the fierceness of their people. It had to be through a marriage alliance that the Targaryen could finally reunite the Seven Kingdoms marrying Daeron II with Myriah Martell.
We can see that, if there is anything special in this powerful southern house, that’s their women. They are far from a lady educated to have children and take care of their lord husband; to be the rest of the warrior has nothing to do with them. Heirs or bastard sand snakes, always fierce, sexual, sly, ready to defend their family and their kingdom over the other six if necessary.
And so is presented Arianne in this new illustration introduced by the talent of Nacho Molina. The contour of her figure shows us a body that only a dornish princess could have, of silky complexion and tanned skin, her hair as untamed as her headstrong character, inquisitive and sly look. In her hands she holds a thin veil than, once again, lets us only glimpse her real intentions. A woman of strong beliefs and even stronger purposes.
And with this display of charm and character she reminds us that, in Dorne, the women are the ones to decide. Are you ready to find out what she wants of you?.Arianne Martell
